LONELY CHILD

LONELY CHILD
Born beautiful
Loving parents
Happy home
Doting brother
Yet
Alone

Good school
Popular
Many friends
Outgoing
Yet feeling
Alone

Dancing
Singing
Swimming
Exuberant
Yet performing
Alone

In your face
Drama
Seeking
Attention
Yet thinking
Alone

Pushing
Boundaries
Feeling
Pain
Yet so very
Alone

Seeking
A Crutch
Using
Crutches
Yet always
Alone

Claiming
Love
Far away
Grand Child
Yet completely
Alone

  1. Your poem speaks deeply… and I felt the loneliness.. Sending thoughts, love and a knowing that how ever far we may be away from those whom we love.. We are never alone.. Love and Blessings ❤

  2. Yet… so very alone, Dear David, so very alone. Are the parents to blame or the times we live in or is the soul so weary and so tired that it can not explain why it is… so very alone.
Great poem, few words, but so very deep for those who know the Lonely Child.

    Love and light.

Thank you Eugene, we know about loneliness in our separate ways and we know the loneliness of the lonely child … my sadness is that I seem powerless to help! Love, David
