It is said that we are all related
Thirty two times removed & dated.
DNA now tells us our origin & place
In distant ancestry, colour and race.
To all those who show their race hatred
Beware lest you hate yourself in dread.
Your fear is unfounded, badly informed
Watch out lest your own castle be stormed.
There is no doubt that you would relish
Holidays in countries foreign like Polish.
Then come home and curse, saying ‘go home’,
Though in their home you are content to roam.
Is there no love lost between you and yours?
Surely rowing a boat together, sharing the oars?
When will you credit the power of difference
The human strength is in our inheritance.
DNA again will benefit from different parents
Parents as cousins bring no relative presents.
Rather the damning of carried similarity
Better by far to have difference and clarity.
Why would anyone deny the chance for DNA
To benefit completely from different roots of any
Change in ancestry to strengthen the bloodline
So be grateful for your neighbours washing line.
Whatever tongue they speak they are your fusion
And the country’s future for a stronger generation.
Don’t deny your neighbours who are just like you,
They fought our wars and love our country too.
Exercise your compassion and not misguided hate
Share and follow the same team over the garden gate
Nine times out of ten they give more than they take
Love them and they will love you for your and their sake.
