If you make your sound worth hearing
Not just to you, but to the world
In a way which brings happiness
A subtlety of consciousness,
Celebrating, rejoicing the Spirit.
An echo to the eardrum
Of a sound they’ve heard before
A reflection of a frequency
Or chain of changing chords
Clamouring for more than words.

‘Listen to me my son’, said the singer
Knowing full well the extent
Of his own vocal chords.
A range like no other
From midnight and beyond
Like camp an ology. An ology?
The pulling of the ropes
Causing clappers to clang
In the bell towers of the mind
Striking strings, soft or strident.

In the changing moods of melody
You ring a running rhapsody
What use of words?
What use of chords?
If the world is deafened
By the blast, slow or fast.
The rhythm of war, the last?
Depletion and death
With none to hear
What then?

The dream of sound
Is to be heard!

Erratum: I WISH to all of you, including me, with the hope to make fewer mistakes in my next comments. Forgive me my trespasses. Thank you.

    Dear David,

You say, and I quote: The dream of sound Is to be heard!
and I say that maybe: The sound of our Dreams should ne loud enough to wake up those who say they never dream. Some of us have dried up and fantasy is no longer something they cater for in their minds, what a pity!
Dreams fill the nights and albeit they take the semblance of nightmares they still are full of significance. We should learn to understand those moments when in a seemingly disordered sequence our spirit and our soul tell us stories we can profit from.

No dream is without a reason. No sound is without an origin. For whom the bell tolls is another story, we sometimes prefer not to hear.
Our world is full of sounds, noises and cries of all sorts, it is up to us to distinguish which ones are pleasant and which ones are of the warning type.

Much Light, much Love and beautiful music I whish for you and for all those who will read your post.

Yes indeed and we all have a variety of dreams but what of the dream of sound itself? Especially in a dead or dying world! Love, David
