Now that the Hubble Telescope and others have been able to bring some truth into our suppositions concerning the origins of our Solar System, and others in the Milky Way, it brings into stark relief the impossibility of scientific theories about the beginnings of our Universe.
It has often been cited that Science is at odds with religion! Is it for you?
It is also said that science will never become complete until it includes Love in all of its formulae.
When we read the ancient texts, with today’s knowledge and understanding, we can appreciate that the accepted stories given to us through the words of all prophets were for the benefit and understanding of peoples of that time, that place on Earth and their level of comprehension. Not necessarily relevant today!
Of course many parables and allegorical stories are open to interpretation by succeeding generations. It is those very interpretations which brought doubts in the past and which will bring doubts once again to the word. Perhaps they should be forgotten and leave us to find our own way to the Divine?
Many of the stories surrounding the founders of most religions were begun before the ability to record so they were passed down through the generations much as camp fire stories are today. I am heartened at the return of the story tellers in this age and sincerely trust that truth will prevail.
If science does not fit with religion and can only undermine the basis upon which our faith rests, I believe that science like religion has a lot of catching up to do in order to allow the truth to be brought to the people.
The trouble is that when faith is weak there is the distinct possibility that faith may indeed fail when faced with the truth. That is the fear that haunts many theologians and indeed followers of many faiths who reject out of hand anything which may call into question their books of belief.
I have been amazed at the ignorance of the history, shown by those who wear the cloth, which is available in plain sight to realise the way the contents of the Bible for instance was misinterpreted, selected and then altered over the Centuries.
I for one would prefer to know the truth which will I am sure illuminate the many pathways to the Divine even at the expense of the myths and pagan origins of many of our established religions.
Contrary to the erroneous belief, taken from religious interpretations, enjoyed by most scientists who believe in the Big Bang, common sense should tell us that it could not have happened from nothing!
I am convinced that most right thinking people would concur having surmised that the bang from nothing was only put in our minds to bring the element of control through mystery into the consciousness of our ignorant forbears which we still maintain to this day, imagining it to be holy writ! Science or Religion?
No, no! And three times No! It could not be from zero, something was needed to explode to bring stars into being! When we look at the amazing photographs of the Star Nurseries given to us by Hubble we can at last appreciate that there was never just one big bang, but bang after bang after bang!
Doesn’t that make more sense! And let’s face it they are still going on today, wouldn’t you say? Or would you rather believe that putting a man on the moon was the fantasy of a film set and the pictures we see of our universe are computer fabrications?
I believe that there is a way out of the impasse of science v religion! It will take time, but events will occur to bring the minds into a never before seen consensus.
To some it will seem like a big bang in the mind itself, which has to a certain extent already begun, but shall we take an arbitrary timing of 1000 years for the true harvest of consciousness in line with our joint Ascension to take place throughout the many minds of mankind?
There have been many attempts to bring us to consensus, Diana, Malala, and now IS! So different but with the same high aim. We have been brought together in grief, in horror and also terror, so what is it going to take to make us and keep us as One?
But the consensuses of which I speak must happen in two distinct forms in order for us to feel enabled not to say empowered to accept the new melding. Firstly there must be a replacement by love of the greed of science, but second and the most difficult for most of us to accept, but which is inevitable is the blending of beliefs.
In the latter the many facets of truth will leave behind the mythic religions and come together like the many bright facets of the diamond of spirituality shining on the singular path which leads directly to the Divine to which we will all feel that we can subscribe.
There are many occasions when we have flashes of wisdom and say, ‘Where did that come from?’ Mini big bangs if you like and as we progress through finding our true purpose, this time round, there will be more and more and if not for us this time, the big bang of the consciousness is something to look forward to for future generations!
Looking forward with Love from which all else flows, Hanukah & the Angel
